Trovato is Italian for found — and the found passage is where trust begins. A lawyer's work rests on trust: a client's trust in their counsel, and counsel's own trust in the work. So every answer Trovato gives is grounded in the exact line of the source it came from — not just for certainty, but for trust a lawyer can stand behind and extend to the clients who rely on them.
Legal AI doesn't fail because it's not clever enough. It fails the moment a partner asks the only question that matters: how do I know it didn't make this up?
So we built Trovato the other way around. Every rendered output resolves to a citation on a real source — or it isn't shown. Each matter accumulates a living memory of what's been found and where. And the long, repetitive work runs on supervised agents that bring a lawyer the decisions that need one.
It runs under the firm's control, because the firms with the most to gain are also the ones with the hardest rules. The result is work a lawyer can verify, defend, and put their name to — and trust they can extend to the client on the other side of the matter.
