The Assistant, reviews, drafting and agents work in the matter's document and knowledge scope. Firm-record context helps orient the work, but factual legal claims still need the underlying source passages.

Where a matter reveals a wrong or missing firm detail, a lawyer can review a correction proposal with selected source passages before sending it. Datum's steward decides whether to update the master record, and the proposal's status comes back to Trovato.

- Do we need Datum to use Trovato?
- No. Trovato's Workbench, Projects and Library work without Datum. When connected by your firm, Datum can supply governed matter context and receive reviewed correction proposals.
- Can every Project member see the same firm records?
- No. Trovato and Datum apply their own access controls, and connected context is checked for each person. Restricted fields stay hidden; a personnel reference does not automatically add someone to a Project.
- Does Trovato automatically change the master record?
- No. A lawyer reviews the proposed correction and supporting passages before sending it. A Datum steward decides whether to accept it; the decision status is visible back in Trovato.
- Is the connection available automatically?
- No. Your firm must configure and enable the relevant connections and permissions. Availability depends on the firm's setup and rollout.
